Whether hosting a brunch or just wanting to add some beauty to your home. Putting together a flower arrangement can spruce things up. Here are 3 simple spring flower arrangements to inspire you.
Living in the North, after a long dreary winter. Once March rolls in, it’s safe to say we are all ready for some warmth and color back in our lives. As the snow melts, we wait in anticipation for those first flower buds to make their appearance.
I remember as a child, the excitement I felt when the tulips emerged. To me, they are the pinnacle of spring. As a result of being in season, they are inexpensive and readily available at this time of the year.
So, in turn, I’ve created 3 simple spring flower arrangements using tulips. Depending on if you want one larger centerpiece to display on a console. Or perhaps, a few smaller ones for a table arrangement. I’ve got you covered!
Large Spring Flower Arrangement with Twine.
I had a larger glass vase that lacked a little character. So, with the help of my trusty glue gun and some twine, gave it a little life. I wanted something that complimented my rattan placemats. I honestly just had enough twine to do a third of the vase LOL. However, I loved how in turned out. You could easily do the whole vase, it would look just as pretty. Afterwards, I just added some water and arranged the tulips. And voila! A quick and lovely spring flower arrangement.
Smaller Flower Arrangement for Tablescape.
On the other hand, here are a few smaller centerpieces to cover more space. I’d purchased these glass cylinder vases from Dollarama for my children’s baptism. They are inexpensive and great to have on hand. They are very multipurpose. Here are a few ways I’ve used them: centerpiece with floating candles, hold sweets for a candy bar, and of course, flower vase.
I used one bouquet of tulips and separated them into 3. Since the vases were clear glass, I decided to arrange the tulips in a spiral, starting in the vase. I cut the first stem down to about an inch and placed it at the bottom of the vase. Subsequently, I cut every other stem about an inch longer. Continuing the spiral till the last tulips were out of the vase. As a result of cutting the stems, I had extra leaves to come and fill in gaps at the end. There you go! Another quick and simple spring flower arrangement.

Lastly, to add a little color, here’s a lemon and tulip floral centerpiece. This one takes a bit more time, but none the less, is still pretty quick. I used lemons, but you could use any citrus fruit you have on hand. Not only do they add a little oomph, but they also a fresh fragrance to the mix.
You need 2 different size vases for this one. Or a vase and a glass. You want to find a vessel that, once placed in the vase, will leave approximately 1 cm. between itself and the vase. Next, you’ll want to cut your citrus into 1/2 cm. thick slices. Afterward, you’ll place the slices in the gap you created by adding the inner container. Next, add water to both the area where your citrus now sits and the inner vase. Lastly, arrange your flowers in the center. It’s as easy as that!
