The Gin Refresher
Freshest summer cocktail you will ever taste!
- 1/2 inch Chunk of Fresh Ginger
- 1 inch Piece of Lebanese Cucumber
- 1 1/2 oz. Gin
- 2 oz. Lime Juice
- 2 oz. Simple Syrup
- 1 slice Lime for Rimming Glass
- 1/4 c. Sugar for Rimming Glass
- Ice
Start by preparing your glass. Pour sugar into a bowl that your glass will fit in. Rim the glass with the slice of lime and dip it in the bowl of sugar. Set aside.
From the cucumber piece, slice three thin rounds and set them aside for the garnish.
Slice ginger into pieces and put in a cocktail shaker.
Add Gin to the shaker and muddle.
Cut the leftover cucumber into two, add to the shaker, and muddle again.
Add lime juice, simple syrup, and ice to the shaker. Close and shake it all up!!!
Add more ice to the glass. With a cocktail strainer, strain the drink into the glass. Top with the cucumber garnish.
Enjoy!!!
You can double this recipe to make two drinks. I wouldn't recommend more than that in a shaker.
To make the simple syrup:
In a saucepan add 1 part sugar to 1 1/2 parts water. Bring to a boil. Boil for 1 min. Let cool before using. Can be stored in the fridge for two weeks.
