I’ve always been a creature of comfort, but before having kids, I dressed up every day! To go to work, to go out with my husband and friends. I loved going to weddings and baptisms just so I could get all dolled up! But now, you’ll mostly find me in my athleisure wear 24/7 LOL. Having to hold babies and nurse them all the time sure has put a damper on my style! But I still love dressing up, especially to go out with my husband. I’ve put together a few date night looks from a casual movie date to a fancy restaurant dinner.
I have so much clothes! I keep on getting rid of some but the piles never seem to dwindle. Throughout the years I’ve kept the classical pieces that would never go out of style. So no matter what I always have those to fall back on. To put these looks together, I had to unpack some of my clothing boxes. Since I am always in leggings, that’s all I had unpacked since our move. My daughter was in awe of everything! She couldn’t believe I had all these pretty clothe tucked away in a box.
Lunch Date Look.
Heading out with your hubby doesn’t just have to happen at night. A lunch date on a terrasse or café enjoying the beautiful day is just lovely. I love pairing a feminine dress with a leather jacket! And a monochromatic look always has a sexy feel to it. I purchased this black chiffon dress from H&M. And the jacket from Zara. My glittery pumps are from Steve Madden.
Going out for a Drink.
Sometimes you gotta squeeze in a quick date. Grabbing a drink at the bar down the street gives you a little reconnection time. Keeping casual again, but a little flirty with a lacey top. I found the top at H&M and got it in 2 colors. These high-waisted black pants from Zara are so stretchy and flattering. I put the look together with my go-to black suit jacket from Zara.
Lace camisole.
Casual Date Night.
This casual look is a no-fuss one, perfect for just walking around town, going to a bar for a drink followed by a movie. A white bodysuit, a pair of distressed jeans, and a leather jacket. I purchased the jeans and bodysuit from Abercrombie & Fitch. The jacket a few years back at Zara. And these pumps are my favorite of all time!!! The back of the shoe is covered in black rhinestones.
Dinner and Dancing.
We’d usually go out to a supper club with friends. A double date…is still a date LOL! I love glitter! Glittery eyeshadow, polish, shoes, or clothes!!! Pour glitter all over me and I’d be the happiest girl in town. I look for any excuse to wear anything that sparkles. I found this top at Kolh’s over the holidays and loved it so much, I also bought the dress. The champagne sequins and silk ties are gorgeous. Again paring something girly with leather is one of my favorites. I found this faux leather skirt at Vera Moda.
Romantic Dinner Date.
I love going out to a dim restaurant and having a romantic dinner. My favorite of these date night looks is by far this little number right here. This romper is one of my favorite pieces of clothing. I love how flirty and romantic the sheer fabric is. I feel so confident and pretty in it. And it is so comfortable to wear. I found it at Zara a few years back. Considering how short it is, I love that it’s a romper and not a mini dress LOL!. I can wear it with flats or heels.
There you have it! A few date night looks you can put together with classic pieces in your closet. Whether heading out or staying in, dressing up for your date helps keep that magic alive. You can read that blog post here. Thank you for stopping by, I hope I inspired you to get all dolled up tonight!
